The company has been operating since 1993 under the trademark "Status Quo." In 2013, a successful rebranding took place, resulting in the operator joining the group of the international holding Parimatch. Franchising became a logical step and a driver in the development of local retail, opening access to advanced technologies, expertise, and resources of one of the leaders in the global betting services market. Thus began a deep transformation in online, shifting the focus from land-based betting shops, which still operate today, to improving the website, mobile applications, and IT infrastructure as a whole.

By 2020, Parimatch locally led the betting industry in the republic, capturing more than 50% of its segment and firmly establishing its position as the undisputed flagship. Later, in June 2022, PM management announced the sale of the Belarusian part of the business to regional management, which was prompted by the geopolitical situation. From this moment, the independent betting company Betera emerged, which will be discussed in this review.
